The Brookridge Model Railroad Club began during the late 1980’s as a means of sharing a common interest in model railroading. The club consists of members with every interest regarding model railroading ranging from running the trains, building scale model buildings, landscaping and everything in-between.

The Club meets every Tuesday from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm in room “C”. Our doors are always open for visitors. We welcome any and all who have an interest in model railroading and sharing that interest with others.

The Club holds an “open house” during the “March Pancake Breakfast”. During this time, both layouts are running for the enjoyment of our visitors, young and old.

Crafty Stitchers is a club that meets every Tuesday morning from 9:00 am to 11:00 am

We meet to sew, crochet, knit, cross stitch, embroider, plastic canvas or craft various items to sell at our Annual Bazaar.  Our Bazaar is held the second Saturday of November each year. Money made from our Bazaar goes back into Brookridge to purchase items needed for the clubhouse and the pool.  This is a club where we have a lot of fun and help Brookridge keep our costs down.  Contact Joan Beals at (352)597-0925 for more information.

We are a fun group! We meet once a month and just dance, no instructions, from Beginner to Intermediate at $5 each.  (We do have formal instructions every week; check the News & Views for days and times. If you take lessons, you will not be sitting!)  We ask that you bring you own snacks, drinks and ice, if needed.  We supply a huge dance floor, a wonderful DJ that even plays requests!  We welcome couples to join us as well!  We even have a "Spread the Wealth" with three money prizes. Look for our dates in the News & Views, or call me and I can give you a calendar for the New Year.  Come dance with us, we guarantee you will have a great time! Our Club implements good health, both mental and physical, by exercising the memory and also exercising the body, while having fun line dancing to music. This sport is for men as well as women. We have an excellent instructor, who teaches the ultra beginner dancer, as well as, challenging the experienced dancer. This is a single sport, so a partner is not needed. We suggest comfortable clothing and no open back sandals, to ensure the dancers safety as well as comfort. We also offer a monthly Social through The Good Times Club, so all that hard work, learning the various levels of line dance, can be enjoyed on a beautiful dance floor with soft lighting and a DJ playing the music we learned to dance to.

Call Norma Rankin at 352-397-6088 for more information.
